ABOUT

…a space for anyone who loves the outdoors, adventures and words…

I’m Natalie Wilson, a summer and winter Mountain Leader and a freelance Adventure Travel Guide. When I’m not working outdoors I’m usually playing outdoors: I love hiking, backpacking, wild camping, xc skiing, downhill skiing, cycling and running. I am proud to say I ran a marathon in 2020. I am also a fan of good food, snow, words and music.

Professionally, in my role as Adventure Travel Guide, I have led over 35 expeditions to places all over the globe, including Mongolia, China, India, Ecuador, Bolivia, Iceland and many more. The mountains of Nepal are one of my specialities and I’ve led over 18 altitude treks there, including Everest Base Camp, Mera Peak and the Dhaulagiri Circuit. I regularly work around the UK too, leading walks and introducing people to navigation, winter hill days and their first wild camp in the mountains.

Time to stop dreaming and start doing?

Are you looking to develop your technical skills in the mountains? Want to build your confidence in route planning and navigation? Do you need some guidance so you can enjoy adventures that are a little more off the beaten track?

Perhaps you are dreaming of beginning your outdoor adventures but you’re not quite sure how to get started. Whatever it is you need, I can provide the expertise and skills to get you there, you just need to take the plunge.

Here are just a few of the ways I can help you:

More recently, I have started podcasting and writing. My writing project is about the North of England, bringing the landscape to life through history, people and literature. I can’t wait to share more of this with you.

I have also been part of the podcasting project, 28 Dales Later since it’s inception in early 2020. There we explore and celebrate the landscape and heritage of Northern England. Our podcasts are available on Spotify, Anchorfm and many other platforms. You can also find the podcasts and further information here: https://www.facebook.com/28DalesLater
